“I want to create music that inspires people the way I was impacted by singers growing up,” muses 22-year-old indie-R&B artist Lucy Cloud. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Cloud takes influences from all different kinds of music. She is passionate about bringing light and focus around mental health and the importance of expressing one’s emotions. Lucy Cloud is a multi-genre songwriter and singer based in Nashville and currently working on her first album. During one of her first writing sessions in Nashville, “Crash and Learn,” was born with writers Seth Mosley (for KING & COUNTRY, MercyMe) and Justin Morgan (Runaway June, Lauren Duski). Later, in 2021 “Crash and Learn” was placed in two network television shows including The CW’s “Charmed” and “Good Sam” on CBS as well as being featured on Sirius XM radio’s The Pulse. Discovered by Kevin Jonas, Sr. of Jonas Group Ent and facing a budding music career, she confesses, “It’s definitely more mature and hopefully a lot of people will be able to relate to it. I’ve been songwriting since I was very young, and it was always an easier way to deal with my emotions.” Cloud penned her first song at 11 years old, with her childhood soundtrack booming genre-crossing artists Corinne Bailey Rae, Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Whitney Houston. Nowadays, she boldly draws inspiration from bada$$ females like Noah Cyrus, H.E.R, Ariana Grande, and Lauryn Hill, to create her own vibey indie-Pop sound.
